The event is intended for all abilities to complete the challenge of the triathlon and therefore we don’t publish results in fastest to slowest order, instead they are published alphabetically. We believe this is important to encourage all children to have a go without the pressure of coming last, or not doing as well as other children. Every child will be a winner of the Stoke on Trent Kids Fun Triathlon. We will also take an overall time for each competitor. You may go to the timing trailer at the finish line and see their time in alphabetical order.
If you’ve entered one of UK Triathlon events before all we’ll need is your name, date of birth, postcode and email, just have your payment ready and we’ll do the rest! Don’t delay, call 01270 842800 and secure your place today! (Lines are open Monday to Friday, between 9:30am-3:30pm).

There is a short walk onto the pontoon to the swim start. The pontoon will have hand rails on for the children to hold, plus marshals on the pontoon to make sure the children feel safe. There will be approximately 10 canoeists on the water to make sure the children are safe. The children will start their swim in the water at the edge of the pontoon. There will be a ramp going into the water for the children to stand on, a member of the race crew will start the children. For safety reasons no parents are allowed onto the pontoon. The children will get their race safety brief on the grass before they walk onto the pontoon.
When you arrive at registration on the day of the triathlon, you will be given two wrist bands in your event day envelope. One for your child to wear, and one for you (the parent/carer) to wear. This allows one parent/carer to go into transition with the children to help them rack their bike.
IMPORTANT There is approximately a 600m walk/run from exiting the lake to the cycle transition. There will be a shoe transition zone at the lake as the children exit the pontoon, so please make sure all the children take with them a pair of trainers to the start of the swim.
Please make sure when you are walking to the swim start you keep out of the way of oncoming children and parents who have already completed their swim.
Swim Course: There will be a 25m lane rope attached to the buoys, the children will swim their allocated laps around the lane rope and buoys.
For the swim children will be started at 20 second intervals. The swim course is a lake edge swim with the added security of lane ropes. There will be a verbal briefing prior to the start making it very straight forward for each child. A swim cap will be given to each child and must be worn. Children may use their own swim cap instead if preferred.
The cycle course is entirely on grass. The course is completely post and taped making it clear to follow and is entirely within the grounds of Trentham Estate. Children will not be allowed to take part without a bike helmet.
The run is entirely on grass. The course is again completely post & taped and within the grounds of the estate.
All three courses can be viewed from one area.
